Our little India is certainly growing, and with that growth comes challenges and fun. Well, not always fun, but often after a good scolding, we have to laugh. Many of her mess ups are a result of trying to be too grown up. Erin baked waffles (is that the correct verb?). Afterward, India also wanted to bake. Not really bake, just eat powdered sugar. "MMMM!" She said after tasting it. She also found that the fluffy texture means a nice coating of everything when it is thrown. You can notice Erin's coat behind India with a coating of sugar. Erin was upset, but decided that taking pictures of the event was more productive than becoming angry. She's a good Mommy.

Essentially, she likes to copy everything that "grown ups" do. In fact, she thinks that she is one herself. This is especially true when she scolds us when we are getting in trouble. You know, really important things like not getting her sippy cup filled with "wah" quickly enough. This look is similar to the one we get when we are in trouble.
This past weekend was our first real snow storm of the season. It was also the first time India really played in the snow. Of course it was necessary for her to learn how to make a proper snowball.
In all, she is learning how to get in to mischief, make messes, drive us crazy, and other such things. At the end of the day, though, when she gets sleepy and snuggles close, we forget all of that and say to each other "We have a perfect baby girl."
The next thing that India has started to do, which is hilarious, is hide. She has found that she can stay up a little longer and make Mom and Dad laugh when she hides from us. The game goes like this. We call out to her "India. It's time for bed." She hides from us. We then pretend not to know where she is. The best part is pretending to look for her. We say out loud questioning "Is India ..." We say different places that she could potentially could be. The funniest thing is that India responds with a voice hinting at foolishness "Nooooo." We then repeat the charade a few times until we guess the correct hiding place ending with India shouting "Grrrrrrr" to scare us. Some people read books to their kids at bed time. We play Scary Hide and Seek.

she looks so much older! we are so excited to see her! what nights do you work at DA over the break? We want to have a little Christmas party some evening and we decided a weeknight would work best for most. We come in on tuesday the 18 so we were thinking some night that week. We also could do it Sunday evening. Anyhow...let me know your schedule! we don't want a party without the wiemers :)
Looks like she can pack a good snowball. What a smart girl. I hope she hit Ammon in the face with it.
I only work on the 19th that week, and then I'm off till January for Christmas Break! We're always up for a party!
India is so adorable. I love the glasses.
I've got to say, India seems a lot like Nathanael was when he was 2, just more of the pros and less of the cons.

Hey Erin, I posted a comment a few blogs down, I just wanted to make sure you saw it.
India is so cute! It's funny how kids becomes so much cuter when they are asleep. Wally and I always lay in bed and think of the funny things Sadie did that day and it makes us want to go get her out of bed and snuggle with her, but then we come to our senses. I love your bedtime hide and seek game!
it is so comforting to hear that our little girl is not the only rascal out there.
