Oh my,

I have been the queen of road trips this summer!  Ammon and I made a two week trip to Iowa & Illinios in July, which I still need to post pictures.  And then the girls and I drove back with my mom and the kids from Utah to New Hampshire for a month. We're still in NH by the way.

Anyway, the last day of travel everyone was tired from way too much driving the day before, cranky from lack of sleep, and ready to be home.  However, we did need to stretch our legs in Massachusetts.  Now when you think Massachusetts, do you think gorgeous green country and old colonial beauty

Me too.

So I applauded their strict littering fines and laws.
This is what we found:
Twenty yards of dirt, grass clumps strewn with all brands of fast food wrappers; a chain link fence overlooking a faraway muddy river and random billboard; an unshaded picnic table on the concrete; thousands of cigarette butts; and one lone, overflowing garbage can.

My mom and I could not stop laughing when car after car drove up and then drove away after taking in the scenery.  We also could not stop laughing after Jared & Rachel started fighting (for the first and only time) over which way Rachel should lean, so Maya's carseat would not lean into Jared.
